What we collect
Vaani HQ collects the minimum data needed to operate the service: your email and Google profile (name, avatar) via sign-in; the topics, captions, and translations you create through our tools; and metered usage counts so we can enforce your plan.
When you connect Instagram, we store an access token (encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM) and your Instagram user ID. We use these only to publish posts you have explicitly scheduled. You can disconnect at any time from the Schedule page — this revokes our ability to call Instagram on your behalf and deletes the stored token.
How we use data
- To generate captions and translations via the Claude API (Anthropic).
- To enforce your plan limits and language entitlements.
- To publish posts you scheduled, on the schedules you set.
- To send transactional emails (subscription updates, post failures).
What we do not do
- We never sell your data to third parties.
- We never train models on the content you create.
- We never log captions, email addresses, or names in our application logs.

- Vercel — application hosting.
- Neon — managed PostgreSQL database.
- Cloudflare R2 — object storage for any media you upload.
- Anthropic — Claude API for caption generation/translation.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Razorpay — subscription payments.
- Meta (Instagram Graph API) — when you publish to Instagram.
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from the Billing page. Account deletion removes your user record, generations, scheduled posts, and stored tokens within 30 days. To request a data export, email privacy@vaanihq.in.
